Delete Account

1. Which App This Is For

This page explains the account deletion instructions for the Whisperio mobile app (listed as "Whisperio" on the App Store / Google Play, developer: Whisperio).

2. How to Delete Your Account

You can use either of two methods:

A) From within the app (if you are signed in):
1. Open the app and go to the Profile tab
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Delete Account"
4. Confirm the action on the confirmation screen

B) If the app is not installed (from this page, via the web):
Enter the email address registered to your account into the form below — we will send you a one-time confirmation link that permanently deletes your account when clicked.

With either method, the action takes effect immediately after confirmation — there is no additional waiting period.

3. Data That Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems:

• Profile information (email address, password, gender, date of birth, interests, username)
• All your chats and message history
• Your feed posts, comments, and kindness messages
• Your wallet (token) transaction history
• Your reputation feedback
• Your block list
• Reports you have filed and reports filed against you
• Notification preferences and your push notification token

4. Data That Is Retained

After account deletion, none of your data is retained in our active systems, with two exceptions: (1) If a legal obligation arises (e.g. an ongoing legal dispute or a request from an official authority), data may exceptionally be retained, limited to what that obligation requires and for as long as it requires. (2) Security/abuse-prevention login records (login time, IP address, device/app information) — even after your account is deleted, these may be retained for a limited period to enable investigation of suspected fraud/abuse; they are not used for any other purpose.

5. Deleting Partial Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete only specific data without deleting your entire account:

• Your feed posts: go to your own post in the Feed tab and tap "Delete" — deletion is immediate and permanent
• Your profile information (interests, gender, date of birth, etc.): you can update or remove these from Settings > Edit Profile
• Your conversations: you can remove a conversation from your own view in the Chats screen — this does not affect the other participant, only removes it from your own account, and the data is retained in the database for moderation/security purposes

Deleting an individual comment or message is not currently supported — this content is only removed when you delete your entire account.
